Wrestle Me, the debut album from CHAPPY — a raw, cinematic collision of Rock & Roll and Americana. Recorded in Nashville with real players, it’s a visceral first statement built on grit, heart, and the fight to make sense of it all.

It’s impossible for me to see this kid without thinking he had no idea the many years that were ahead of him. Not in the dread kind of way, but the kind of way that is proud beyond belief. There is a part of me that even knows he maybe suspected it: the mysterious long. Still he showed up. He believed, he wrangled, pushed, sat, asked for help, did. Transparently it wells me up with water thinking about how grateful I am that he did. What’s crazy, is at the time of this photo he was the older one of the two setting out to make a record. I don’t know where that leaves us today, if I’m a third guy among you now or if one of them finally won and I’m still trying to figure out which of them it is. Anyways…

A world of “thank you”s has not felt like enough. I don’t really know how it could. My hope is in any way that you’d want, you feel connected to this work, not out of obligation but out of real lived experience. I know I will never be able to look at it without you. Really good curse you have placed upon me, well done — all of you.
